It is my boyfriend's birthday tomorrow and I made him a birthday beard card. Check it out!

My good friend, Amita just started a photography blog, so I whipped up this banner for her!  Her guidelines were a super simple design, but with personality--I think this accomplishes the goal!  If you want to check out her blog, go here - My Little Picture Box.

There are a lot of fun contests via websites like threadless and modcloth going on right now.  I decided to submit a design to the Make the Cut Contest via ModCloth.

The design was inspired by this moodboard.

And here it is.

I also finished a little illustration I made for my boyfriend's soccer team today.  It is a little spoof on Inglorious Basterds.  Not really my style, but hopefully the boys like it.

I have been working on a series of paintings the last couple months of men with veggie beards.  When I started this project I was on a raw vegan kick that I have unfortunately abandoned.  Still super into this project and have no plans to stop making these guys.

And the beginnings of my third guy, who is going to have a nice white beard of onions and corn!

I am feeling the fall colors this week.  The first drawing is just a doodle and the second is a poster I created for my friend's birthday party.

In the spirit of Halloween and my Day of the Dead inspired costume I am posting some inspiration here.  This is a cute print from Nan Lawson Illustration.

I have always loved Jose Pulido and own a few of his prints.  I was very sad that he wasn't at the Renegade Craft Fair this year in SF!

And here is my own. Happy Halloween!

A few years ago I created these little paintings for a "miniature" themed show in Davis, CA.

I finally created this illustration a couple months ago after having the sketch/idea down for a couple years now.  I really like how the doll's face turned out.

I had a wine and cheese party for my birthday last year and this was the illustration I came up with.  My favorite part about illustration is not needing a single word to know what is going on.

This is a poster I made for a local dance party.

The following illustrations are all old sketches/concepts that I scanned into Illustrator and digitally applied color.

I took an editorial illustration class earlier this year and was greatly humbled by my extremely talented class.  I had a hard time producing work that I was really happy with because of the time constraints.  These were both completely created in Illustrator, except for the nesting doll, which was painted and scanned in.

Here is the nesting doll by itself.

And another little painting I have done recently when my apartment was on the hunt to adopt a dog.  I haven't painted the pupster that we ended up with yet.

This is a card I made for my boyfriend, Rob's parents after receiving such warm hospitality in Buffalo, NY. The amount of meat I consumed is obviously still on my mind. I had a lot of fun using watercolors-it had been awhile.

Another card I have been working on is my business card!  The front is still a work in progress, but I am pretty happy with the back.
